Conveyor Dewatering Systems

Highly efficient technology for separating water from material

Your challenge

Excessive water on conveyor systems can lead to a number of issues including: uncontrolled material movement; slough back; spillage; as well as material degradation. These issues often result in unplanned downtime and additional costs due to clean-up, equipment damage and corrosion.

Water devalues your product; water equals waste.

Our solution

ACE dewatering systems take basic dewatering principles to the next level. We use a combination of historical performance data, combined with our skills to design with system control software, to deliver highly efficient technology.

Our versatile dewatering systems are typically installed at transfers or trippers and onto operating conveyors. We also have the ability to custom design a solution if required to resolve your unique dewatering challenges.

Dewatering Process

First, a cutter blade separates high water content product. Then, an auger diverts product to a vibrating screen which separates free water from product. The system is controlled by PLC communication and integrates with the conveyor control system. Finally, dewatered product is loaded back onto the belt.

Benefits

Ease of integration

ACE designs the system control methodology and integrates it with the conveyor control sequencing, to automate the operation during start-up, running and shut down of the conveyor.

Reduced operational costs

Moving excess water means dollars in weight. Keeping water to a more manageable level at each stage of the conveyor system reduces overall operational costs and improves the quality of your final product.

Reduced impact wear

The material barrier created by our dewatering systems reduce impact wear caused by the main product flow through the transfer, increasing overall belt life and time between changeouts.
