CAREERS
Fenner Conveyors are industry leaders, with a proven track record for developing and upskilling both new entrants and experienced individuals through our nationally recognised career pathways. We deliver Apprenticeships/Traineeships that are not only designed to provide a formal qualification to existing personnel, but also foster the development of new entrants into the conveyor industry. We offer several intakes annually for Conveyor Technician (Splicing and Mechanical) Apprenticeships and Traineeships, with the program open to applicants nationally.
Our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) has delivered over 1400 Belt Splicing qualifications, across New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia, while our Mechanical Technician career pathway finishes with our Mechanical Advanced Course, leading to national certification of Certificate II in Process Manufacturing.
Hear from our employees about the training opportunities they've completed since starting with the Fenner Registered Training Organisation.

Conveyor Technician Career Pathways
Fenner Conveyors offers industry-leading career pathways to becoming Technicians, Leading-Hands, Coordinators, Supervisors, and even Trainers/Assessors for future generations. Being our own Registered Training Organisation (RTO) since 2007, allows us to ensure our personnel are trained and assessed to the highest industry standards. An integral part of our RTO programs is the focus on instilling safety conscious attitudes amongst all personnel by providing intensive training in safe work practices.

Conveyor Technician Splicing Development
As an OEM of conveyor belting, splicing services are vital for our industry stability and workforce succession planning. As such, Fenner Conveyors provides a conveyor splicing career pathway, encompassing trade recognition (in Queensland & Western Australia) and a nationally accredited qualification in Certificate III in Polymer Processing.
Formal off-the-job training is provided throughout the program, initially with the Splicing Practical Training Facility (PTF), followed on in the later part of the Appenticeship/Traineeship with the Block Release course in Melbourne’s Fabric Ply Factory. Whilst not at formal off-the-job training, valuable experience and knowledge is gained through on-the-job coaching and mentoring.

Conveyor Technician Mechanical Development
At Fenner Conveyors we believe mechanical services play a big part in ensuring conveyor efficiency and as such it is vital for our Mechanical Technicians to have adequate training to successfully perform all tasks.
As part of the mechanical conveyor technician journey, the first phase is completed through the Mechanical Practical Training Facility (PTF), with skills and knowledge further refined through on-the-job training. Further training is provided through the Mechanical Advanced Course, leading to national certification of Certificate II in Process Manufacturing, contextualised to Conveyor Maintenance.
